Interior Firefighters, Exterior Firefighters, Fire Police, EMT's, Pump Operators | Requirements: Any Apparatus driving you must have a valid NYS Drivers License and go through EVOC and to drive the Pumper Trucks you must go through an Apparatus Pump Operations class. Along with this you must have in house training hours (which we provide) an 8 hour OSHA class (we provide), and you must have HAZMAT Operation class (will be provided). Volunteers at Laurel House Comfort Care Home provide compassionate end-of-life care to residents. Responsibilities include offering emotional support, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring a comfortable environment for residents and their families.

We are looking for a volunteer who wants to be an active member of our department, who will commit to taking the courses to go on calls whether it is exterior firefighter (everything but go inside a burning building), interior firefighter (exterior firefighter plus go inside burning buildings) and fire police (traffic control). | Requirements: Our active members must attend a minimum of (8) monthly meetings, (8) departmental functions, annual mandatory trainings plus respond to calls when available.
