Provide telephone contact, mailings, and visits to family members following the death of a loved one. May help with adult support groups and/or Remembrance Ceremonies.

Covenant Care is seeking active duty and veteran volunteers to support the We Honor Veterans program, a national program that honors hospice patients who are veterans. Volunteers assist with outreach and education for veterans helping them to access hospice care and visit veteran patients to present them with certificates and pins, thanking them for their service to our country.

Provide assistance in hospice offices during normal business hours. Support may include answering telephones, Tuck In calls, mailings, special projects, and computer work based on needs.

Provide support to patients and families in homes, nursing homes, or ALF's. Support includes companionship, respite for caregivers, assisting with small tasks, running errands, etc.

Lead fun activities for children while parents attend classes at Baldwin Family Village. Ongoing on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:45 PM – 7:00 PM.

Time Commitment: 3-6 hours per month, busiest time is Phillip Cares Day and Appreciation, January and November, varies ongoing. Serve as a year-round clearinghouse to fill Phillip Cares volunteer needs. Alabama Contemporary Art Center is looking for individuals willing to welcome visitors to our art gallery during open gallery hours. Your tasks would include recording guest attendance, asking for donations at the door, taking cash and credit card payments, and informing guests about our exhibitions and public programs.

Our volunteers are key actors in achieving our mission to create a space for courageous conversations and incentivizing constructive community-building through the arts. Volunteers assist at the front desk, during Art Walk, our educational programs, and in special events. We are looking for volunteers of all ages and abilities.
