The St. Anthony Fire Department is seeking quality people who want to serve the residents of the City of St. Anthony. We are a combination fire department that responds to approximately 1600 calls for service annually. Responsibilities range from treating patients medically to structure fires, hazmat incidents, vehicle accidents, weather related incidents and a wide variety of miscellaneous calls. You will also be responsible for driving and operating the pumps of the apparatus, covering shifts at the fire station, and participating in our various public education programs. All of our firefighters are trained medically to the EMT level and minimum level of Operations for Hazardous Materials response. Training and meetings are on Monday nights and calls come in at all hours of the day/night. You will receive an hourly wage when responding to calls, meetings,drills and covering shifts. The Volunteer Coordinator will recruit, train, and manage volunteers for the Open Streets Central Avenue event on August 2nd. Responsibilities include organizing volunteer sign-ups and schedules, hosting a pre-event orientation, serving as point-of-contact for volunteers on the day of the event, and ensuring all roles—from setup and info booths to clean-up—are filled and supported.

Distribute flyers to local businesses, libraries, and communities, and promote the toy library at festivals and block parties. Volunteers help raise awareness and engage the community with the library's mission.

Assist in staffing toy lending events by putting away toys, assisting members, and managing toy checkouts. Volunteers help maintain the library's operations and ensure a smooth experience for members.

Join the crew every other Sunday evening for 1-2 hours to set up the agility course for the upcoming week of classes. Perks include being able to bring your dog to run the course, and additional ring privileges during non-operating hours.

Recording program volunteers assist with recording, editing, and checking the quality of new digital talking books for patrons and users across the country. The program focuses on books of local and regional interest to Minnesota.

Volunteers will assist in removing mental and emotional barriers to school success for over 1,200 kids annually. The role includes mentoring, case management, care coordination, and therapy support.
