Our department accepts applications year round for volunteer Firefighters. A Recruit can join the department without any previous experience or training. Training towards the initial Kentucky 150 Volunteer Firefighter certification will be provided through our department to those who are not certified when they join as well as on going training hours for those who reach 150 certification requirements. American Heart Association First Aid and CPR are taught to Recruits. Members of our department are not required to be certified EMT’s. Once released to make runs our members respond to structure fires, automobile accidents, medical calls and many other incidents as needed when dispatched by our 911 center. Join our team of volunteers to provide daily care and attention for our mares, assist with regular health monitoring, and help with facility maintenance and improvements. Volunteers also support community education and awareness initiatives, as well as our adoption program.

Assist with museum operations, including guiding tours, helping with events, and supporting educational programs. Volunteers will engage with visitors to enhance their experience at the museum.

This is a low commitment opportunity where volunteers provide a location for native wildlife to be released. No animal contact is required, but volunteers need a valid license or proof of address.

Volunteers can become members of the Animal Care Team after showing commitment to the cause. In Kentucky, volunteers must be licensed rehabilitators to have direct contact with wildlife. In Indiana, volunteers will undergo training and may be listed as an 'Assistant' on the organization's license.

Volunteers are needed to help with events, maintain the landscape, and organize the storage room. You can volunteer every Sunday or just a few hours throughout the season.

Looking for devoted, hard working individuals to join our Volunteer Fire Department. Must be able to attend weekly trainings, monthly meetings, and respond to calls. We are located in Corinth and cover 55 square miles within the southern portion of Grant County, and cover approximately 25 square miles in the South Eastern portion of Owen County. We provide fire response, haz-mat response on a awareness/operational level, we provide Basic Life Support Emergency Medical First Response to all EMS calls within our jurisdiction, to treat the patient until the ambulance arrives from Dry Ridge or surrounding counties. We need motivated individuals, who will receive training, receive direction and to be self motivated enough to perform job duties that are assigned with minimal supervision, and to perform all job duties with safety to yourself and others in mind. Our Fire Board does reimburse for most trainings, and we are given a $5.00 per run/training/meeting/special detail, etc stipend which is paid quarterly. | Requirements: 1. In conjunction with Dry Ridge Fire Department, Corinth houses an ALS/BLS ambulance that is provided by Dry Ridge Fire Department. Corinth Fire Department EMT's and Paramedics staff this ambulance, and respond it out of the Corinth Fire Station. Sign up to take adoptable dogs living in boarding facilities out for a few hours to give them a break from their kennels.

Assist at events and fundraisers, typically lasting 2-4 hours, to help adoptable dogs find new homes in the Lexington area.
