Looking for people within the Spanish Fort community who are ready to volunteer to help keep the city we live in safe! Volunteer drill is held every Tuesday night from 6:30 to 9:30pm. We are looking for volunteers of all ages. There are positions available for every person no matter your age or experience. | Requirements: Must be 16 and older with a valid drivers license and live within the Spanish Fort Fire district. No other requirements are necessary. After attending 3 drills, a person can be voted in. Provide telephone contact, mailings, and visits to family members following the death of a loved one. May help with adult support groups and/or Remembrance Ceremonies.

Provide assistance in hospice offices during normal business hours. Support may include answering telephones, Tuck In calls, mailings, special projects, and computer work based on needs.

Provide support to patients and families in homes, nursing homes, or ALF's. Support includes companionship, respite for caregivers, assisting with small tasks, running errands, etc.

Covenant Care is seeking active duty and veteran volunteers to support the We Honor Veterans program, a national program that honors hospice patients who are veterans. Volunteers assist with outreach and education for veterans helping them to access hospice care and visit veteran patients to present them with certificates and pins, thanking them for their service to our country.

Lead fun activities for children while parents attend classes at Baldwin Family Village. Ongoing on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:45 PM – 7:00 PM.

Transport pets to veterinary appointments and their forever homes. Must maintain a valid Alabama driver's license and the minimum required car insurance.

Seek out and organize other volunteers for fostering, transportation, fundraising, and more. Help review volunteer applications and keep an active list of past and present volunteers.

Foster rescued pets in your home until they are adopted. Food, medication, veterinary care, and other essential needs will be provided by Misfits.

Keep accurate records of all organization activities, record the minutes of board meetings, and provide board members with minutes. Work directly with animals during fundraisers and adoption events.

Aid in producing and managing event material, partner with event chairs to execute a successful marketing plan, and act as a liaison between Misfits and the media.

Seek out fundraising ideas and opportunities, create relationships with local businesses, and participate in fundraising events. Work with the web developer and marketing director regarding advertising for fundraisers.
