Share your passion for the outdoors by guiding groups on the Tahoe Rim Trail. As a Trail Guide, you will help promote responsible recreation and provide an enriching experience for participants.

Join a trail workday, plan a group workday, or participate in a stewardship camp caring for the trail you love! Volunteers will help maintain the trail and ensure it remains accessible and enjoyable for all users.

Educate and inspire trail users to safely and sustainably recreate on the Tahoe Rim Trail. Trail Ambassadors serve as a friendly presence on the trail, providing information and assistance to hikers and bikers.

Gain leadership skills and experience in communications, philanthropy, and donor relations. Weekly commitment required.

Volunteers help with office management duties in our Truckee office, including assisting with donor mailers, making phone calls, and filing. Tasks may vary as needed.

Join TAMBA for trail days from May through November to help build and maintain mountain bike trails. No previous trail building experience is required, and volunteers are encouraged to check the TAMBA newsletter or contact the organization for specific volunteer days.

Assist in the transplantation of trees to restore areas affected by wildfires. Volunteers will help with planting, monitoring, and maintaining young trees to ensure their growth and survival.

Help rehabilitate trails and install signage to guide visitors and protect natural habitats. Volunteers will assist in repairing trails and placing informative signs.

Engage in activities aimed at preventing wildfires, including clearing brush and educating the community about fire safety. Volunteers will help reduce fire hazards in vulnerable areas.

Participate in erosion control projects to prevent further damage to the landscape. Volunteers will work on building barriers, planting vegetation, and other methods to stabilize the soil.

Volunteers are needed to transport animals to their new homes. This role involves driving animals from shelters to foster or permanent homes. Volunteers should be comfortable handling animals and have a reliable vehicle.

Assist in crafting Gratitude products by painting ornaments, assembling friendship bracelets, tagging products, and sewing leather book covers and pouches. Volunteers will also help deliver goods to distributors in Lake Tahoe, Truckee, and Reno.

Support fairs and showcases by setting up and managing booths. Volunteers will engage with the public, provide information about Sustainable Tahoe's mission, and assist in educational venues.

Capture events and workshops through photography and video to document Sustainable Tahoe's activities. Volunteers should have skills in photography and videography and be able to work independently.

Assist with communications, database input, presentations, and research to support Sustainable Tahoe's development and educational initiatives. Volunteers will also help manage social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Work alongside professional designers to create design plans and assist in the implementation of interior design projects. Volunteers should have a passion for design and creativity.

Help organize and manage inventory in the warehouse, ensuring that all materials are ready for upcoming projects. Volunteers should be organized and able to handle physical tasks.

Assist in the setup and installation of design elements in homes. Volunteers should be comfortable with physical tasks and have an eye for detail.

Engage in hands-on creative projects, crafting items that will be used in design installations. Volunteers should enjoy DIY projects and have a creative flair.

Assist in delivering furniture and design materials to various locations as part of the installation process. Volunteers must have a valid driver's license and a willingness to help with loading and unloading items.
