Volunteers spend time with residents, helping them with resume writing, job applications, and teaching budgeting and money management. Volunteers also provide practical assistance such as cooking, cleaning, and childcare, and offer emotional support to help residents build confidence and pursue their goals.

Volunteers assist with transportation needs, helping residents get to appointments and work. Men are also encouraged to help with moving furniture and performing simple maintenance tasks at the shelter.
