Assist with planning, organizing, advertising, and attending fundraising or other special events to support the shelter's mission.

Volunteers transport dogs from Athens to other rescue locations, such as meeting points in Lancaster or Columbus. This role is crucial for facilitating the rescue and adoption process.

Volunteers clean and sanitize crates between transports to ensure they are ready for the next use, maintaining hygiene and safety for the dogs.

Barlow VFD is seeking volunteer fire-fighters and/or emergency medical responders. Barlow VFD covers 64 square miles and provides fire protection and BLS/ALS medical response. Our department responds annually to 90+ Fire calls and 400+ medical calls.
