Lead school or camp groups through the Garden, providing age-appropriate information and interactive elements to engage younger visitors. This role requires a commitment of 1 hour per shift from April to August.

Participate in the transport of a Pyr in your regional area of the NEPR territory. Mileage is tax deductible as a donation to NEPR.

Provide a temporary home for a Great Pyrenees dog while we work to find a forever home. We cover the medical needs of the Pyr; you provide the love, food, and shelter.

Attend and help with setting up and coordinating Pyr events close to your area. Distribute breed information at events or educational programs.

Welcome the public to WAM performances by passing out programs, scanning tickets, assisting people to their seats, and answering questions about WAM Theatre.

Help make WAM events successful by tabling at festivals, organizing volunteer appreciation events, and assisting with the annual gala.

Support visiting WAM artists by driving them to and from the train or bus station, offering housing during productions, and cooking for volunteer-led tech dinners.

Ensure everyone is welcomed at WAM by identifying and reducing barriers to accessing theatre, educating staff and volunteers on accessibility issues, and recommending improvements.

Assist in spreading the word about WAM Theatre by putting up posters, giving out postcards, and writing thank you notes to donors and volunteers.

Assist in teaching hands-on cooking skills to inspire children to cultivate a healthy relationship with food. Volunteers can help with preparation, set-up, or photography during the event.

Participate in adult cooking classes on various food and nutrition topics. Volunteers can assist with preparation, set-up, or photography during the event.

Assist in building Kestrel boxes and sewing bird bags to support bird conservation projects. Volunteers with skills in crafting and sewing are encouraged to contribute.

Utilize your graphic design or accounting skills to support the administrative and promotional needs of the Berkshire Bird Observatory. Volunteers will work on various projects to enhance the organization's outreach and operational efficiency.

Gain hands-on experience in bird banding with top-notch training provided by BBO. Volunteers will assist in the banding process and learn valuable skills in avian research.
