We run between 20-30 calls a month, majority of those calls being motor vehicle collisions followed by grass fires and then EMS assist. Provide socializing and human interaction for dogs, including walks, playtime, rubdowns, baths, and grooming. Volunteers also help with daily chores like feeding, watering, and general kennel and yard cleanup.

Your Sisterdale VFD currently consists of 15 volunteer firefighters and one junior firefighter, as well as others who volunteer in non-firefighting roles, and new members are always welcome. You do not need prior experience, you do not have to be available at all hours, and you do not have to fulfill every role. We all have jobs, families, and other duties that consume our time and energy, but everyone adds value however they can, and we work together as a team. All you need is a desire to help others, a good attitude, and the willingness to take on a challenge. We will work with you to find a role that suits your interests and abilities, and to provide the training and equipment you need. We have a community meeting every third Wednesday of the month and train the other Wednesdays. | Requirements: We just ask that you come and learn what it takes to be a firefighter to support the community. Does not matter if you have no experience or you already are career firefighter or a volunteer.
