Daily Cat Care Volunteers are responsible for feeding and cleaning each of the cat kennels. They also provide additional care, grooming, and socialization for the cats to help alleviate stress and maintain their health and sociability while waiting for adoption.

Adoption Counselors assist potential adopters in making a life-long connection with the cats available for adoption. They handle cats for visitors, answer questions, facilitate successful adoption matches, and authorize the adoption of cats in the system.

Participate in outdoor restoration workdays at the Carl Hansen Woods/Poplar Creek Forest Preserve. Volunteers will engage in activities such as habitat restoration, learning about native Illinois habitats, and enjoying the outdoors. Volunteers must sign a waiver and those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Assist in creating content for the Poplar Creek Prairie Stewards' communication channels. This role involves writing and researching to support the organization's mission of habitat restoration and community engagement.
