Assist with various tasks during the Lake Tahoe Dance Festival, including event setup, guest assistance, and logistical support. Volunteers help ensure the smooth operation of the festival and enhance the experience for attendees.

Assist with communications, database input, presentations, and research to support Sustainable Tahoe's development and educational initiatives. Volunteers will also help manage social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Assist in crafting Gratitude products by painting ornaments, assembling friendship bracelets, tagging products, and sewing leather book covers and pouches. Volunteers will also help deliver goods to distributors in Lake Tahoe, Truckee, and Reno.

Capture events and workshops through photography and video to document Sustainable Tahoe's activities. Volunteers should have skills in photography and videography and be able to work independently.

Utilize expertise in a specific shop area such as Textiles, Metal Shop, Wood Shop, Technology, or Ceramics to assist with safety check-outs and mentoring hours for new members.

Assist in setting up tents, tables, chairs, and stages for the Maker Show event. Volunteers should wear comfortable shoes and gloves for this physically engaging task.

Participate in day-of event activities for the annual Maker Show, assisting with various tasks to ensure the event runs smoothly. Volunteers will interact with the community and contribute to the event's success.

Serve as a greeter and provide support for visitors, potential donors, new students, and prospective members. Ensure the space is safe and secure while offering a welcoming environment.

Help with school field trips and summer camps, providing educational support and engaging with students to foster an appreciation for nature.

Serve as a trail docent, initially assisting by co-leading natural history outings and eventually leading hikes independently. Volunteers will engage with the public and help educate them about the Tahoe region's natural history.

Participate in data collection for various community science projects such as the Christmas Bird Count, Nightjar Surveys, and the Midwinter Bald Eagle Survey.

Assist with a variety of administrative tasks to support the organization's mission and operations. Volunteers will help with office work and other administrative duties as needed.

Volunteers help with office management duties in our Truckee office, including assisting with donor mailers, making phone calls, and filing. Tasks may vary as needed.

Gain leadership skills and experience in communications, philanthropy, and donor relations. Weekly commitment required.
