Volunteers at the Longview Resource Center are needed to help with stocking food pantry shelves, assisting neighbors in shopping for food, sorting produce, and cleaning.

Seniors from the Class of 2026 are invited to volunteer by researching historical topics at the Inez Hatley Research Center and presenting their findings on a podcast dedicated to the history of Harrison County, Texas. Volunteers will earn letters of recommendation and have the opportunity to win prizes based on their participation.

Organize and coordinate events across the county, ensuring successful execution that aligns with the organization's mission. Responsibilities include venue selection, vendor management, and creating memorable experiences for attendees.

Tutor and prepare residents pursuing their G.E.D., supporting them in taking steps towards a better life.

Assist with campus upkeep through lawn care, painting, cleaning, and minor repairs to maintain a clean and beautiful environment.

Provide transportation for residents to and from various appointments, offering a chance to invest one-on-one and get to know their stories.

Organize group activities such as service work, food and game nights, or supply collections to support the organization and build community relationships.

Teach a class in subjects such as Art, Bible Studies, Money Management, Interview Prep, Crocheting, or Cooking to residents as part of their recovery program.
