Firefighter Job Responsibilities: Protects citizens by extinguishing fires; executing rescues. Volunteer to take a rescue dog for a walk, providing them with exercise and socialization. This role supports the wellbeing of the dogs in foster care.

Help transport rescue dogs to and from veterinary appointments, ensuring they receive necessary medical care. Volunteers need to be comfortable driving and handling dogs.

Assist in training rescue dogs to improve their behavior and increase their chances of adoption. Volunteers will work closely with dogs to teach basic commands and social skills.

Newalla Fire-Rescue is looking for interested community members to serve as volunteer firefighters. | Requirements: Must live within 10 miles of the Fire Station. Must be willing to attend training and administrative meetings. Prior certification as a firefighter, or willing to attend firefighter training. Prior certification as a Emergency Medical Responder (or higher) or willing to attend EMS training. Pass a criminal background check and sex offender registry check. Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
