Thiensville Fire Department is looking for paid-on-call Firefighter/EMT-B or Paramedics. The department is located in a small northern suburb of Milwaukee and averages between 600 and 800 calls for service per year. Although small in geographic region the department is very progressive in its' operation and training. The department provides Paramedic level EMS, Fire Suppression, Dive Rescue, Fire Prevention and Education services. T.F.D. has a strong commitment toward building diversity in the fire service and is equally committed to strong community relationships, staff professionalism and career evelopment. There are paid (3) fire suppression practices, (1) EMS practice, and (1) Dive Rescue per month and active members must utilize a web-based program to schedule 72 hours of on call hours per month based on their availability. SFJ would like to schedule a special date to host your group! Volunteering together to organize and pack shoes for Africa is a rewarding, 2-hour team-building exercise for youth and adults (12+ years).

You are invited to sort and organize shoes with us (SOS)! This is a hands-on 2-hour volunteer event that you don’t want to miss! You will have an important role in supporting the SFJ mission through the final stages of preparing the shipment for Africa, while gaining first-hand insight into the operations of the organization.

Assist with various events such as fundraisers, Yappie hour Mutts 'N Meets, and pop-up adoption events. Volunteers will help with setup, coordination, and ensuring the smooth operation of events.

Assist with providing essential clothing and toiletries to walk-ins. Help with group sessions and evening programming aimed at inspiring, healing, and empowering young ladies. Participate in the summer garden and cooking series.

Facilitate workshops and sessions focusing on teaching sustainable life skills through Biblical principles. Volunteers will work with adults to set goals, reduce barriers, and advance in life.

Work with youth to cultivate awareness of their value and purpose in life. Create a safe space for youth to express themselves and expand their outlook on life's opportunities.

Assist in providing resources and support to those in need within the community. Help empower individuals to gain confidence and fulfill their God-given potential.

Assist or lead activities for participants in different age groups. Opportunities include fitness (GiGiFIT), cooking (GiGi Kitchen), social programs, and tutoring in math or literacy.

Assist with raising awareness about Down syndrome and GiGi’s Playhouse in the community. Can include social media planning, content creation, website and newsletter editing, graphic design, and media outreach, including press releases.

Assist in providing art therapy services to individuals and groups under the supervision of licensed professionals. Responsibilities include setting up art materials, supporting clients during sessions, and helping with community outreach programs.

Assist with setting up and taking down concessions during productions, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

Assist in building and painting sets for productions. This role involves using carpentry and painting skills to create the physical environment for performances.

Oversee the front-of-house operations during performances. Responsibilities include managing ushers, handling any issues that arise, and ensuring a smooth experience for all attendees.

Prepare baked goods to be sold at concessions during productions. This role supports the theatre by providing refreshments for attendees.

Help prepare mailings for distribution, supporting the theatre's communication and outreach efforts.

Assist in seating patrons and ensuring they have a pleasant experience during performances. Ushers help guide attendees to their seats and provide general assistance as needed.
