As a new Probationary Firefighter, you will begin your training both in house and at a state fire training center to become a fully certified and operational Firefighter. This entry level opportunity is the first step in becoming a certified interior firefighter within our department. Certification classes are paid for by the department at no cost to the member. All Probationary members are expected to rise to the challenge set before you of training and education, but also are strongly encouraged to be involved in all of the other aspects of our organization. Monthly fundraisers, details, and social events are all part of the exciting life as firefighter in our department. Members are paid $7 per call responded to. All training is paid for, basic gear is provided at no cost, along with department uniform.
