We are recruiting Firefighters and Juniors (age 14 through 17. Our first due areas are: Clinton Township, Wayne County approx. 36 square miles and Vandling Boro , Lackawanna County 1 square mile. Our department was established in 1913, we are a long standing and dedicated fire department in the community we serve. We also provide mutual aid to over 12 other fire departments in the area. We respond to approximately 250 some calls per year or 2.5 per week on an average. We currently we have over 50 dedicated volunteers about half are firefighters with the remaining support in administration and fundraising. We currently have 4 members each with over fifty years of experience and service to the fire service. We have a current state fire trainer and a retired state fire trainer in our ranks. We place a high priority on training and the brotherhood of the fire service.
