Seneca Volunteer Fire Department has a mission of protecting the lives, properties, and possessions of residents, owners, and visitors of Cranberry Township (Venango County) PA. We are always looking for members of Cranberry Township to come and assist in the operations and administration of the department. We do our best to be responsive on with digital media, and the station's answering machine is checked at least once a week. We are looking for individuals to help with emergency responses, station maintenance and upkeep, administration, and fund raising for the department. | Requirements: Must reside or work in Cranberry Township, Venango County and be over 16 years of age. All members must complete an application and provide a Pennsylvania State Police Background Check upon submitting their request for membership. There are many positions available. No training or experience is required. We will provide on-the-job training and pay the costs of formal training that you wish to attend. The hours are flexible and can accommodate as much or as little time as you can provide. We are always looking for junior firefighters (ages 14-18), firefighters, fire police, fund raising support (such as at our annual firemen's fair), and administrative support. There is no greater satisfaction than serving your community and helping neighbors in their time of need. Come out and see what we are all about. We would be happy to give you a tour and sit down with you one on one to talk about becoming a valuable member or our team. | Requirements: The Rocky Grove Volunteer Fire Department does not have residency requirements. Most of out members are from Sugarcreek Borough and the Franklin regional area. You must not have been convicted of a felony and be able to pass basic background checks for criminal and child abuse history. Our schedules are flexible and take things into consideration for excused absences, such as work, family events, vacations, etc. We are happy to have any member for as much time as they can provide. We have one general business meeting per month, two work nights and two training nights per month. Over the past several years our call volume has been around 200 emergencies. That breaks down to around 15-20 per month.
