Help ensure all available kittens have up-to-date adoption profiles with quality photos and biographies. Assist in writing newsletters and special interest stories under the direction of the Communications Lead.

Transport kittens to adoption and veterinary appointments, coordinating with fosters and team members. Gas money is provided by Team Kitten.

Lead teens through simple, calming yoga routines to promote relaxation and mindfulness. The volunteer will teach basic yoga poses, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques.

Assist in trapping and caring for cats at colonies around Shawnee and nearby counties. Responsibilities include transporting cats to veterinary appointments and delivering food and supplies to colonies. Gas money is provided by Team Kitten.

CASA volunteers advocate for the best interests of children who have experienced abuse or neglect. They work with child welfare professionals and service providers to ensure judges have the necessary information to make informed decisions for each child. Volunteers must be at least 21 years old and complete 30 hours of training.

Mission Township Fire Department is a rural county fire department that borders the west side of Topeka. We proudly serve approximately 9,000 residents living in a township of 35 square miles. Our department consists of nine full time officers and several paid-on-call volunteers. We provide fire suppression, emergency medical services, and rescue operations. We also maintain specialized technical and water rescue teams. Our team provides mutual aid to surrounding counties when requested. <br><br> We are currently looking for qualified applicants to strengthen our volunteer base. Our department and our residents rely strongly on the support of our volunteers. As a volunteer, you will be expected to assist the department by responding to calls, volunteering for special events, and by attending and receiving training.
