Casstown Fire Department
Rural, farming community volunteer fire department seeks good neighbors to become Firefighter, Auxiliary, or Cadet members. Candidates MUST live or work in within our response area. NO prior training or experience needed! Department will provide members with initial and continuing training, uniforms, and equipment. Members can expect to respond from their homes/workplaces to attend fire calls any time of day or night. Members are in the fire station nearly every Tuesday night for meetings, trainings, or work details. We are friendly, family oriented department and would love to hear from you! Must live or work in general area of the Village of Casstown (chief's discretion). Must commit to actively serve for a time period commensurate with the expense of the initial training provided. Emergency response calls can come in at any time of the day or night and must be responded to immediately. Sleep and personal activities may be frequently interrupted. Firefighters and EMS personnel must be experts at getting themselves quickly and safely to the Fire Station. They must don the appropriate gear/equipment and secure themselves into emergency vehicles quickly. Emergency calls can cover a wide variety of disciplines such as brush fires, structure fires, automobile accidents, life-threatening medical emergencies, non-life-threatening medical calls, and false alarms. All must be responded to with speed and professionalism. Firefighters and EMS members must all have a basic idea of command structure and methodology. Any individual member may find themselves as the senior member and therefore in charge in the absence of a company officer of the Department. Standard Operating Guidelines are adopted and each member must be familiar with them to be able to efficiently do their job. Once on an emergency scene, Firefighters and EMS members are responsible for gathering information from witnesses and other sources. The firefighters/EMS members must think quickly and obtain the appropriate information to mitigate each unique situation. After emergency calls, firefighters/EMS members must clean/resupply equipment to ensure it is in a ready state for the next call. Firefighter/EMS members are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our fleet consists of 2 engines, a heavy rescue, a 105 foot ladder, a grass truck, a utility truck, and a 3,500 gallon tanker. Do you want to make a difference in someone's life? Fletcher Vol Fire Dept
The Fletcher Volunteer Fire Department is looking for Volunteer Fire Fighters and Junior Firefighters. We are a rural department that averages 160 runs a year. We provide services in Miami County to the Village of Fletcher and the Townships of Brown, Springcreek, and Lostcreek. In Shelby County we provide services to the Townships of Orange, and Green. We also respond mutual aid anytime we are called upon. There is no prior training or experience required. The department will provide members with training, uniforms, and equipment. We are not staffed full time or paid. We are 100% volunteer, and members respond from their homes or workplaces day and/or night. Members of the department are at the station every Tuesday night at around 7PM.
