The essential job of the Probationary Firefighter after earning state required certifications includes; combating and extinguishing fires, performing rescues, providing first aid, conducting ventilation, forcible entry, salvage, overhaul, and public fire education. They also perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties, building maintenance, equipment maintenance, and apparatus maintenance. Probationary Firefighters will need to operate individually and as a member of the firefighting team during various training exercises to gain experience and knowledge of our operations. Will be responsible for providing residential and commercial fire suppression duties, automobile accident response and patient extrication, hazardous materials response to the operations level, assisting EMS crews on scenes, provide technical rope rescue services, and off-road rescue services. | Requirements: Must be 18 years of age at time of application.
