Participate in scheduled work days to maintain and improve hiking trails in the Ute Pass area. Volunteers will help with tasks such as clearing paths, repairing trail surfaces, and ensuring trails are safe for public use.

Volunteers are needed to assist the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the US Forest Service in conducting an annual census of the threatened Pawnee montane skipper butterfly. This rare butterfly lives only in a few drainages along the South Platte River, and volunteers will help document sightings during late August to early September.

Volunteers will assist in the multi-year project to reintroduce the Greenback Cutthroat Trout in Rock Creek, managed by the Pike-San Isabel Forest, US Fish and Wildlife, and Trout Unlimited. Tasks include helping with habitat restoration and monitoring the reintroduction process.
