Explorer meetings are generally on Wednesday nights from 7 pm to 9 pm. We have activities on other days depending upon the needs of the Fire Department or outside training. Your East Meadow Volunteer Fire Department is currently accepting applications for positions as firefighters and medical technicians. As a member you will receive expert training in your assigned duties. The Wantagh-Levittown Volunteer Ambulance Corps is always seeking new members who are caring and community minded. No prior experience is necessary. Upon completion of the Probationary period, members may become an EMT and/or Driver. Pick up food donations from various locations and deliver them to the organization's facilities. Volunteers ensure that all food items are handled safely and reach the intended destination.

Assist in cleaning kitchens used for preparing meals for veterans. Volunteers help maintain hygiene and organization in certified kitchens to ensure safe meal preparation.

Prepare meals for veterans in a certified kitchen. Volunteers must have access to a certified kitchen such as a school, church, or commercial facility for safety reasons.
