Are you interested in becoming a firefighter? The essential job of the Probationary Firefighter after earning state required certifications includes; combating and extinguishing fires, performing rescues, providing first aid, conducting ventilation, forcible entry, salvage, overhaul, and public fire education. They also perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties, building maintenance, equipment maintenance, and apparatus maintenance. Probationary Firefighters will need to operate individually and as a member of the firefighting team during various training exercises to gain experience and knowledge of our operations. Our official department meetings are open to the public on the first Monday of every month at 7pm; feel free to stop by to meet and question our members.
