First Responders are trained in Basic First Aid, CPR, Oxygen Therapy, Emergency Vehicle Driving and Scene Safety. First Responders average one call per week. Optional training Vehicle Extrication, Grain Bin Rescue and EMT Basic to EMT Paramedic level training. Individuals with advanced medical training will still be asked to take the 40hr First Responder Training. All applicants must complete the First Responder Course and CPR training within 1 yr of being accepted.
