Plan and implement the furnishing and maintenance of the farmhouse as a museum. Supervise and support staff in managing Heritage Farm holdings according to policies.

Create affordable preventative care opportunities such as low-cost vaccine clinics and microchipping events. Commit 2-4 hours monthly to improve animal health in the community.

Work with local shelters to spotlight pets available for adoption and respond to requests for help. Commit 4-8 hours monthly to connect with the community and support animal welfare.

Work with partners to receive and distribute pet food to families in need. Ability to transport food locally is very helpful. Commit 4-6 hours monthly to support families in Ellis County.

Assist in fundraising efforts and represent the group at community events to spread awareness about the Pet Coalition. Commit 6-9 hours monthly to support community animals.

Assist church leaders in setting up foster care, adoption, and support ministries. Volunteers will help with organizing materials, coordinating coaching calls, and supporting partnership development.

As a Historic Walking Tour Guide, you will conduct tours of over 25 sites along a 2.2-mile route through Historic Downtown Cedar Hill. This role requires a passion for local history and the ability to engage with diverse audiences.

As a docent, you will provide a general overview of Cedar Hill’s history in the Museum, at the Traphene Hickman Library, or at special events. This role may also include visitation opportunities to special interest groups or students in their classrooms.

In the role of Exhibits Assistant, you will assist in research, determine content, objects, and photographs for temporary exhibits. You will also help install exhibit components, mount photographs, and create text for display panels and graphics.
