During the winter months, help grow plants for the plant sale, garden restoration, special display gardens, and educational activities. This role is crucial for preparing the arboretum for the upcoming seasons.

Work and learn while restoring and maintaining Laurelwood’s gardens. Volunteers are needed from April through October, Tuesdays through Fridays and some Saturdays, from 9:00 AM to noon. Teenagers meet on Wednesdays from 9:00 AM to noon. Bring gloves, your favorite garden tools, and water.

Serve as a tour guide to meet the community and share your horticultural knowledge and enthusiasm for Laurelwood. Training is provided for tour guides.

Work with the site manager and other volunteers to improve the arboretum’s bridges, buildings, drainage, and infrastructure. Help maintain the arboretum's vehicles and facilities.

As a Court Appointed Special Advocate, you will be trained to advocate for the best interests of children in the child welfare system. You will commit to serving a child until they have a safe and permanent home, focusing on their individual needs throughout legal processes.

As a CASA volunteer, you will advocate for the best interests of children in foster care by visiting them regularly, gathering information, and providing written reports to the court. You will need to attend an Information Session, complete a 36-hour training program, and pass a background check to qualify.

Assist in supervising and engaging children in various activities during the after-school program. Volunteers will help with homework, organize recreational activities, and ensure a safe environment for all participants.

Support camp counselors in organizing and leading activities for children during summer camp. Volunteers will engage with children in sports, arts, and educational activities, promoting a positive and fun environment.

Help coordinate and supervise various sports activities and clinics. Volunteers will assist coaches, manage equipment, and ensure participants' safety during athletic events.

Assist in maintaining the temples at Siddhachalam, which are places of homage and spiritual aspiration. This role is open to all and contributes to the preservation of this unique spiritual site.

Support the tradition of serving food without charge by volunteering in the kitchen. This role involves preparing meals and serving them to visitors, fostering a sense of community and joy.

Help maintain the library at Siddhachalam, which includes organizing books and assisting with educational camps and scholars’ conferences. This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy reading and education.

Join our efforts to maintain Siddhachalam as a nature and animal preserve by participating in tree planting, trail maintenance, and wildlife care. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about environmental conservation and community service.
