As a DSP, you will have the opportunity to powerfully impact the lives of the kids and adults we support. This role is foundational to the services CTA provides.

Volunteers in the After School Program support children and adolescents with autism and developmental disabilities in a structured environment. Responsibilities include assisting with activities, providing transportation, and ensuring a positive learning experience.

Assist with organizing and managing events such as storytimes, film festivals, and concerts. Volunteers will help set up, guide attendees, and ensure events run smoothly.

Assist with box office & ticketing, clubhouse & workshop activities, event load in & load out, crowd management, and general festival support. Volunteers help produce Tumbleweeds, the only independent, international film festival for children & youth in the Mountain West.

Assist in various youth outreach projects including unsheltered youth street projects, education and schools, orphanages, and community centers. Volunteers will engage with youth, provide support, and help organize activities.

Assist in the organization of the Craft Lake City LetterWest Conference, featuring keynote speakers, workshops, and community art projects. Engage with attendees and support event logistics.

Support the Holiday Hand-Up project by helping to collect, organize, and distribute holiday gifts and essentials to underserved communities. Volunteers will work in teams to ensure smooth operations and joyful holiday experiences for recipients.

Participate in the Food4Families initiative by helping to organize and distribute food to families in need. Volunteers will assist with logistics, packing, and delivery of food supplies.

Engage with the community to raise awareness about domestic and sexual violence. Volunteers will participate in events and help distribute informational materials.

Assist in providing information and connection to services through our 24-hour helpline. Volunteers will help manage calls and provide support to individuals seeking help for domestic and sexual violence.

Provide programmatic support for the Club kids, including homework help, fitness activities, social-emotional learning, and more. Volunteers are expected to provide at least 10 service hours from 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm throughout 3 days each week for at least 8 weeks, with each shift being at least 2 hours long.

Serve snacks and meals to Club kids. Volunteers are expected to provide approximately 4 service hours from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm (snack) or 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm (dinner) throughout 2 days each week for at least 8 weeks, with each shift covering the entire meal service.

Support local musicians during pre-show concerts by helping with setup, managing schedules, and assisting with audience engagement. Volunteers will play a key role in enhancing the concert experience.

Assist patrons with seating and provide information about the performance venue. Volunteers will help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

Assist in organizing and facilitating the Mental Health Summit, focusing on mental health awareness and resources for the Deaf community. Tasks include event setup and participant coordination.

Join a committee to assist with planning and executing events, programs, and initiatives for the Deaf community. Volunteers will work collaboratively to ensure successful outcomes.

Support the finance and membership team by managing records, assisting with membership drives, and ensuring financial accuracy. Volunteers will gain experience in nonprofit finance management.

Help organize and manage the UAD Conference, a key event for the Deaf community. Responsibilities include logistics, registration, and attendee support.

Become a mentor to youth who have spent years in foster care. This role involves providing emotional support through regular phone calls and occasional outings to help build a trusting relationship.

Volunteer your photography skills to help create a traveling display that showcases waiting children in foster care. Your work will help find caring adults for these children.
