I am writing to you regarding your interest in becoming a first responder in the town of West Greenwich. No experience or previous training is required. If you choose to become an active member of the Lake Mishnock FD, The department will provide you with the training necessary to begin serving the community. Lake Mishnock Fire Depart,emt has trained Emt's Cardiac and Firefighters to help you with your career. The pride and satisfaction that comes with being a volunteer is something that is not easy to explain but hopefully you will join us and experience it for yourself. Volunteers will help establish mobile charging stations for at-risk citizens needing to recharge backup batteries in electric-powered medical devices. This involves working with utilities, power generation companies, and community-based organizations.

Volunteers will assist in developing a community-based program encouraging neighbors with backup generators to support those relying on electric-powered medical equipment during power outages. This involves collaboration with local health departments and patient advocacy organizations.

Volunteers are needed to participate in the Annual Direct Fish Count, where they will be trained to count herring swimming upstream in Buckeye Brook and document their findings. This data is used by agencies for fisheries management and policy guidance.

Join the Buckeye Brook Coalition for the annual Earth Day clean-up event. Volunteers will help remove debris, litter, and other waste from the Buckeye Brook watershed to protect local natural resources.

Volunteers assist in maintaining Stillhouse Cove park and salt marsh through cleanups, plantings, and removing invasive plants. Organizational tasks such as communications and office duties are also available.

Assist with Friday noon summer deliveries to youth centers in Providence, providing lunches to approximately 60 youth per run. Volunteers will help ensure timely and efficient delivery of meals.

Support the Adopt a School Program by delivering food, clothing, and books to elementary and middle schools in East Providence and East Greenwich. Volunteers will help serve numerous children in need.

Participate in car-type drop ship deliveries to soup kitchens and homeless shelters across Rhode Island. This role involves delivering essential items to locations such as The Mathewson Street Church and Emmanuel House.

Volunteer Grant Writers work with team leaders to draft grant proposals, supporting the organization's work by securing funding. Volunteers are asked to commit to giving 3 hours of service each month for at least six months.

Volunteers are needed to help with Sanctuari's mission of protecting wildlife and their habitats. Responsibilities may include hands-on care of wildlife, event planning, educational outreach, and participating in think tanks.

Spread the word about PechaKucha in the community, develop themes for events, and co-host event nights. Engage in monthly virtual meetings and outreach activities.
