The Westbrook Fire Rescue Department is a progressive combination agency (staffed with full-time, per-diem and call company members). We currently have a need for additional call firefighters and fire police staff. Call firefighters supplement the on-duty crews at larger incidents such as structure fires, vehicle extrications, hazardous materials incidents, storm coverages and special call-backs. Fire Police staff primarily assist with traffic and crowd control at these incidents but may also assist with other specialty details such as parades and other large mass gatherings. No experience necessary - other than a good attitude and a desire to learn. We will provide you with all the training and equipment required to be successful in this position. | Requirements: All applicants must be a team player and interested in working with a motivated team to serve our community. Applicants must be 18 years old and be physically fit and pass job performance standards for the position. Must pass a criminal record and background check and hold a valid Maine drivers license and meet the residency requirements.
