The Grant Writer is responsible for researching potential grants and writing proposals to apply for financial grants. Estimated time commitment is 2 hours per week.

Assist in transporting rescue kittens to various locations for adoption events or medical appointments. Volunteers will ensure the safe and timely delivery of kittens to their destinations.

Join the dedicated Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) team to help manage and reduce the population of stray cats. Volunteers will assist with trapping, neutering, and returning cats to their colonies on Sunday and Monday evenings.

Participate in a variety of activities including adoption events, cleaning, and off-site volunteering. Volunteers will help maintain a clean and welcoming environment for the kittens and assist in event operations.

Provide temporary homes for kittens in need, offering care and socialization until they are ready for adoption. Volunteers will work closely with the rescue to ensure the health and well-being of the kittens.

Assist in training puppies and dogs basic commands like sit, stay, and lay down under the guidance of an intern. Volunteers will help improve the dogs' behavior, making them more adoptable.

Volunteers can visit one of our locations to socialize with puppies, walk them on a leash, and help them get accustomed to human interaction. This helps prepare them for adoption by teaching basic social skills.

Regular volunteers can help feed animals such as dogs or horses at our Farm location. Volunteers must follow proper safety regulations, which will be provided.

Join KOBA's Adopt-A-Spot program to clean and beautify specific areas of concern in Oconee County, such as city parks and parking lots. Volunteers work with KOBA and local authorities to maintain these sites.

Serve on one of KOBA's board committees such as Education, Public Relations, Community Outreach, Finance, or Advocacy. Volunteers help guide KOBA's mission and initiatives to keep Oconee clean and beautiful.

Participate in the Adopt-A-Highway program by adopting a section of highway for a minimum of two years and conducting cleanups at least twice a year. KOBA provides safety training and supplies such as safety vests and trash bags.
