Volunteers are needed to greet the public, conduct tours, and enhance the visitor experience at the historic Percy Grainger Home & Studio. This role involves sharing knowledge about the Grainger family and their contributions to music and culture.

Youth Committee Volunteers are high school students who raise awareness about cancer support in their schools and communities through planning events and developing outreach materials.

Administrative Volunteers assist with mailings, filing, data entry, and other administrative tasks to support the organization's operations.

Gilda’s Curators help maintain the clubhouse by assisting with tidying and light upkeep, ensuring a welcoming environment for visitors.

Outreach Ambassadors attend health and community fairs representing CSCNYCT and share information about the wide range of programs and services offered.

Reception Volunteers provide a warm welcome when someone calls or visits Cancer Support Community Greater NY & CT. They also help individuals register for programs.

Assist adult learners in obtaining their High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma by providing tutoring and support in various subjects. Volunteers should be patient and passionate about education.

Gift Shop Volunteers assist in the hospital's two boutiques, helping customers enjoy a bit of retail therapy. This role supports the hospital's retail operations and enhances the visitor experience.

Volunteers work alongside the Patient Transport team to help escort transport patients and visitors throughout the hospital and transport materials as needed. This role is vital in ensuring smooth operations within the hospital.

Volunteers provide general assistance to staff at the Family Health Center, which offers integrated primary, specialty, and preventative care to community members. Bilingual skills are highly appreciated in this location.

Healthful Harmonies Volunteers are singers/musicians who provide music at the patient’s bedside to create a pleasant, healing atmosphere. Currently, the hospital is looking for singers and/or musicians who play stringed instruments.

Provide Healing Touch therapy to patients and caregivers. The hospital sponsors certification training for selected volunteers.
