The Myrtle Springs Volunteer Fire Department is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Volunteer Firefighters. As a Volunteer Firefighter, you will play a critical role in protecting lives and property within our community. Respond to emergency calls: Volunteer Firefighters will be responsible for promptly responding to emergency calls, including fires, medical emergencies, accidents, and other incidents, as dispatched by the department. 2. Perform firefighting duties: Volunteer Firefighters will be required to perform various firefighting duties, including but not limited to, fire suppression, search and rescue, ventilation, salvage, and overhaul. 3. Provide medical assistance: Volunteer Firefighters will be expected to provide basic medical assistance, such as first aid and CPR, until advanced medical personnel arrive on the scene. 4. Maintain and operate equipment: Volunteer Firefighters will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and operating firefighting equipment, vehicles, and tools in accordance with department policies and procedures. 5. Participate in training and drills: Volunteer Firefighters will be required to attend and actively participate in regular training sessions and drills to maintain and improve their skills, knowledge, and readiness. 6.
