More than 65% of all firefighters spread across more than 30,000 fire departments in the United States are volunteers just like you. Lewis County Fire District 2 (Toledo Fire Department) is happy to welcome those willing to become another member of the small group of individuals who serve our community as a Volunteer Firefighter. Toledo Fire Department serves nearly 100 Sq miles in rural Lewis County, Washington protecting over 6,000 citizens. We are excited to accept volunteer applications from anyone who meets our qualifications and can meet our minimum expectations, regardless of residency within the district*. Toledo Fire Department also recognizes those who volunteer are often the best candidates for future paid openings at the department and additional points will be added to your score in testing for full time paid positions. Toledo Fire Department (Lewis County Fire District 2) strives to become a hub for training and growth opportunities to those wishing to start their career in Fire/EMS or those wishing to become lifelong volunteers. All members have the opportunity to join the Technical Swift Water Team, become nationally certified in Firefighting (IFSAC/Proboard FF1), and become a Nationally Certified Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT-B). Many other certifications and opportunities are possible as well and all who have a desire to make a difference in their community are encouraged to volunteer. Lewis County Fire District 5 continually seeks applicants for Volunteer Firefighter and/or EMT positions. Successful applicants will perform duties of a Volunteer Firefighter and/or EMT in responding to emergencies in our 65 square mile response area. Our Fire District is predominantly volunteer; the community depends very heavily on our well trained volunteer staff of emergency personnel. Being a Volunteer Firefighter/EMT carries with it many benefits which are fully funded by the Fire District without any cost to you as a volunteer. They include: • Training courses, training supplies • Equipment and uniforms • On duty accident and disability insurance • Volunteer firefighter’s pension program • Nominal fee reimbursements for duty shifts • Fully funded membership in the District’s Volunteer Firefighters’ Association. Membership offers many benefits including social and community service events. | Requirements: Must be a Washington State Certified EMT-B or obtain certification within one year of hire. - Lateral applicants must have at least one year of documented Fire/EMS agency experience. - Must agree to provide a designated number of scheduled duty shift hours. Cowlitz Cnty Fire Dist #3
Toutle Fire Rescue is an all-volunteer fire department. We respond to approx. 500 medical/fire calls per year. Being a Volunteer is a 24/7 job – members have pagers and are “toned” out when someone has dialed 911. We respond to various emergency situations, and we train to be ready. Shift Volunteer program is designed for those individuals that live outside of our response area but still want to be part of the department. They staff for 10-hour day shifts during the week when traditional volunteers are at work. They are required to work 80 hours a month and attend at least 2 drill nights. They will receive an hourly rate for their time. Many of our shift volunteers work for other departments | Requirements: Be 18 years old. Posess a high school diploma, GED, or higher degree. Pass a background check and risk assesment evaluation. Posess a valid driver’s license Maintain an insurable driving record with no criminal violations, and no more than three moving violations in three years. The main station is in Toutle across from the school and the substation is located on S. Silverlake Rd. in Castle Rock Volunteer members receive both fire and medical training, along with a stipend for call as well as the opportunity to work 10 hour shifts with our shift volunteers. Members are required to attend 50% of the drills and 20% of the calls | Requirements: Be 18 years old. Posess a high school diploma, GED, or higher degree. Health And Hope Medical Outreach
Volunteer as a greeter, receptionist, interpreter, meal coordinator, or office assistant to support our clinic operations and enhance patient experience. Volunteers also include Christians willing to pray for clients.

Join our team as a medical staff volunteer, providing free medical care to uninsured individuals. We are looking for doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, MAs, CNAs, LPNs, and RNs to bring care, kindness, and hope to our neighbors.
Riverside Fire Authority
Riverside Fire Authority accepts applications for individuals interested in volunteering - year-round. Volunteer FF/EMT Duties include Fire Suppression and Prevention activities. EMS service - respond to calls for service. We provide basic Firefighter training through an in-house academy with opportunity for FF1 and FF2 certification, as well as mandatory continuing education. Academy is conducted two times annually. We provide opportunity for EMT certification through Centralia Community College. Call for more information. Non-Combat Fire Corp volunteer membership duties include prevention activities, fire incident and department support functions, and EMS. Training is provided. EMS only FireCorp must have DOT physical with respirator assessment and complete an EMS physical ability analysis.
