Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company
Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company ("CTVFC"), located in Cranberry Township, PA, is an all-volunteer organization that provides fire, rescue, and community education programs to the residents of Cranberry Township and surrounding communities. CTVFC currently operates out of two stations in our community: the "Park Station", also our main station where our administrative offices are located, is on Route 19 near Cranberry Community Park; and our second station is located on Haine School Road, near the intersection with Freedom Road, which houses offices for company officers and Fire Safety and Education. The Firefighter position is for individuals 18 years of age and older. There are two tracks new members may elect to take- Exterior or Interior. All new members without previous firefighter training start at the probationary/exterior firefighter level and must complete entry-level firefighter training courses offered at local fire academies to achieve advanced firefighter status. At the Exterior Firefighter level, you will provide various support functions at emergency scenes. Members may choose to remain at the Exterior Firefighter level but must complete the appropriate level of academy training and go through the driver/operator approval process for at least one fire company vehicle. Interior firefighters are expected to be able to perform tasks necessary to mitigate fires and other emergencies. This includes the ability to wear full protective clothing, and self-contained breathing apparatus, deploy and manage hose lines, set up and climb ladders, enter hazardous environments for rescue, and fire suppression operations. Members wishing to become Interior Firefighters must complete the entire PA Entry Level Firefighter training program and attain a Firefighter I ProBoard certification within 18 months of completing the PA Entry Level Training Program. Join us for Volunteer Cleanup Day at Bellevue Dog Woods to help maintain and beautify the park. Volunteers will assist with tasks such as picking up litter, maintaining the agility equipment, and ensuring the park is safe and clean for all visitors.
