New Creek Vol Fire Dept
We are currently seeking applicants to fill the position of Firefighter. Being pre-trained to join is not necessary. If you do not have any fire training prior to joining our department, we offer to provide all minimum training at our cost. The New Creek Volunteer Fire Department is an all-volunteer department comprised of 40 dedicated members/citizens. We cover a 25 sq. mi. of first due area with a population of 3700. Our population varies between suburban as well as remote wildland/urban interface type areas. We have auto-aid agreements with all 9- county fire and 2-EMS departments as well as all adjoining departments in neighboring counties. Our extended mutual aid area covers approximately 320 sq. mi. with a population of approx.10,000. NCVFD operates from one unmanned station and provides 24/7/365 coverage for our area for all fire suppression, fire prevention, paramedic / EMS response and basic rescue. We operate 5 fire suppression vehicles, 1 support and 3 emergency medical vehicles. All apparatus are state of the art, and either meet or exceed all applicable standards, except for our tanker, which is in the planning process of being replaced. If you do not have any EMS training prior to joining our department, we offer to provide all minimum training at our cost.
