Provide transportation for members attending the Pine Bush Dinner, especially those with allergies to animals and fragrances. Volunteers should have no pets and refrain from wearing perfume.

Participate in the Fall Clean-up event organized by the Buckingham Pond Conservancy, usually in October or November. Volunteers will engage in activities such as trash collection and invasive species removal to maintain the park's beauty.

Assist with the shoreline stabilization project by planting native species to reduce erosion and improve wildlife habitat. Volunteers will work under the guidance of the More Trees crew to plant over 60 new plants along the pond's shoreline.

Join the Buckingham Pond Conservancy for their Spring Clean-up event, typically held in May. Volunteers will help with park maintenance tasks such as trash removal and invasive plant management. Tools are provided, but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gloves and clippers.

Volunteers are needed to assist with various activities at the Albany Damien Center, including providing support and comfort to individuals affected by HIV/AIDS. A flexible schedule allows for volunteering as little as three hours per week, with opportunities available during the day and evening.

Support the Love is Served Meal Program by providing and preparing freshly-made food for guest families at the Ronald McDonald House. Breakfast and dinner opportunities are available.

As a House Warmer, you can give tours of the Ronald McDonald House to new guest families, and ensure that the House is comfortable and clean. Morning and evening House Warmers also support the Love is Served Meal Program.

Help make the Ronald McDonald House a home by assisting with mowing, gardening, weeding, and other general outdoor improvements.

As a Guest Services volunteer, you support RMH families by assisting with daily needs, answering phones, reserving rooms, checking families in and out, and receiving donations.

Playgroup happens during English classes to give our adult learners access to childcare. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about creating a welcoming and nurturing environment for young children. As a playgroup volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to engage in creative play, storytelling, and educational activities that help these children thrive.

Volunteer to teach adult English classes that meet twice a week. Most of our students are at a beginning level. Classes are small groups that consist of up to 8 students. Teachers are expected to plan and develop lessons after going through a training program.

Assist refugees and their families in resolving issues complicated by language barriers. Help with phone calls to utility companies, interpret billing questions, assist with forms, applications, school enrollment, internet searches, or other transactions that are challenging for those who are not proficient in speaking, reading and/or writing English.

We are in need of dedicated individuals to assist with keeping our facilities safe, clean, and welcoming for our residents. Tasks may include light repairs, gardening, cleaning, and general upkeep of our center and other properties. Your contribution will directly impact the comfort and well-being of those seeking refuge in our community.

Conduct and engage refugees in informal or formal English conversations. Create dialogues that will help refugees express themselves, build listening and fluency skills, and utilize topics that are useful as they manage daily activities, apply and interview for jobs, or navigate through our culturally diverse community.

Support families of pediatric patients inside the children's hospital by welcoming guests, providing snacks and beverages, and lending a listening ear.

Extend the services of the Family Room to patients’ bedsides by providing helpful information, snacks, coffee, entertainment, and comfort items with a friendly smile.

Join us as a volunteer for the 28th annual LATINFEST, a family-friendly festival celebrating Hispanic culture. Volunteers will assist with various activities throughout the day and will receive a festival T-shirt, a complimentary meal, and an invitation to a Thank You dinner in the fall.
