Join the Skirting Team to help prepare fleece for processing by removing short cuts, burrs, and hay. Volunteers work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the Local Cloth Studio, with free training provided.

Help set the vision for Local Cloth's marketing strategy by attending monthly meetings and ensuring alignment with the strategic plan. Support the overall marketing activities of the organization.

Support the planning, organization, and operation of Local Cloth's events, including assisting with day-of setup, tear down, and general event needs. Volunteers can choose to support one or more events based on their interest and availability.

Focus on growing and nurturing Local Cloth's membership by greeting new members, engaging current members, and planning orientations and events. Attend committee meetings to support these activities.

Support Local Cloth's workshops by attending monthly meetings, monitoring class registrations, and assisting with setup and cleanup. Communicate with teachers and students as needed.

Participate in a citizen science program to document landslide impacts on roads and trails in public lands following Hurricane Helene. Volunteers will use smartphones to collect data, which will be shared with land stewardship agencies.

Provide capable hands in the camp kitchen during specified dates. Volunteers will assist with meal preparation and kitchen duties to support the camp's operations.

Assist in public dog training classes by supporting instructors and helping with class logistics. Volunteers contribute to creating a positive learning environment for dogs and their owners.

Join Jay Wherley in leading bird watching and nature walks, helping participants enjoy and learn about local wildlife. Volunteers will assist in organizing and guiding these outdoor activities.

Support the Craft Club by helping participants with various crafting projects, encouraging creativity and social interaction. Volunteers will assist in preparing materials and guiding activities.

Help in the camp gardens and participate in natural building projects. Volunteers will contribute to the maintenance and development of sustainable environments.

Assist with the setup and breakdown of events, and lend a hand during the Village Send Off and Welcome Back Ceremonies for the Annual Summer Rites of Passage Program. Volunteers may also share their unique gifts at these events.

Help facilitate social skills games with Claire McCulloch, engaging participants in fun activities that promote communication and teamwork. Volunteers will assist in organizing and leading games.

Assist in pet therapy sessions, helping to provide comfort and companionship to participants through interaction with therapy animals. Volunteers will support the coordination of these sessions.

Assist in leading the Gardening Group with Babs, engaging participants in gardening activities and fostering a love for nature. Volunteers will help plan and execute gardening sessions.

Help with the essential task of picking up food from grocery stores, restaurants, and markets to ensure timely delivery to 12 Baskets Café. Volunteers coordinate with food partners to transport rescued food safely.

Assist in serving hot lunch and operating a grocery store at 12 Baskets Café. Volunteers help by waiting on tables, assisting with dishes, or supporting the free grocery store while engaging with community members.
