Firefighters respond to whatever calls they are dispatched to by the Sheriff Department; these will include fire response calls of all kinds, as well as EMS and welfare calls, rescue calls, and other miscellaneous events. The fire district assists the county and city with public works projects and assists the schools in fire prevention instruction for the students. | Requirements: The fire district is currently working on physical fitness requirements for new recruits and that program will be in place in the near future. Prospective members have to pass a background check and be mentally prepared for the challenges that they might face. From the firefighters who fight the fire, drivers who run the trucks, medical responders who treat the injured, to even the ones who help raise funds or just make a pot of coffee after a long call. We will train you and give you the supplies you need to make a difference in the community. | Requirements: Live within 2 miles of the Liberty Eylau area. Be free of any kind of illegal drugs and able to pass a background check. Over 18 to join the fire department.
