SUPERVISION RECEIVED Work is performed under the general supervision of an assigned company officer, and/or Battalion Chief who reviews work for conformance with district policies, procedures and guidelines. Limited supervision or direction may be received by EMS personnel on emergency incident scenes for the purpose of providing patient care. SUPERVISION EXERCISED EMS Volunteers do not have formal supervision over other staff. Limited supervision may be exercised when acting as a lead technician on emergency incidents providing direction to other responders. EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS A person in this classification shall perform the essential functions as outlined below. Assist in providing pet care for the pets of seriously ill individuals, ensuring they receive the love and attention they need. Volunteers may be involved in feeding, walking, and general care of pets to support the bond between patients and their pets.

The Silverton Fire District is currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Resident Volunteer Firefighters, RV. The positions are 2 year positions with the possibility of being extended to a 3 year position depending on the program being completed. This position does require that the individual use the fire station as their primary residence. The RV will be assigned to a rotating shift of 24 hours on and 48 hours off. During the assigned shift the RV will respond to calls for service. The RV will also be required to attend weekly drills whether on duty or not.
