Evergreen Fire Company is 100% Volunteer. We cover a large district along with our sister Fire Company Berkeley Hills station 247. Evergreen is made up from a many different types of people- CPA's, Business owners, construction workers, and medical professionals. We average around 300 calls per year and growing. Evergreen is quite a unique Fire Company along with other ones in Allegheny County because of a program the Community College of Allegheny County offers to us. We have training on Tuesday nights where our members train to better themselves in firefighting tactics and to provided the community with the best fire protection possible. We also staff our fire house at least two nights a week besides Tuesday. Those days are Wednesday and Thursday we do this in a effort to reduce the home response to better serve the community. Our Dormitory Program helps us in our goal of providing a 24/7/365 in station crew. Members can have their own private or semi-private sleeping quarters in exchange for meeting certain training requirements and giving 40 hours of staffing each week. Bunk rooms are also available for members to stay overnight or for several days. Join Hello Bully in various volunteer roles including events, fundraising, community outreach, social media, and administration. Volunteers are crucial to our foster-based rescue efforts across Western Pennsylvania.

Volunteers will assist in providing care to survivors, including crisis intervention and psychological first aid. They will support the Eden’s Farm Survivor Care program and help in creating a safe and welcoming environment for survivors.

Volunteers will engage in online outreach efforts, utilizing web-based texting applications to provide support and intervention. Training will include crisis intervention and sexual assault counseling.

Volunteers will conduct training sessions on human trafficking awareness, focusing on sex trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation. They will also educate participants on trauma-informed care and how to be a good ally.

Troop cookie managers oversee the Girl Scout Cookie Program at the troop level, managing activities and data entry from December through April. This role is perfect for those who want to contribute without a long-term commitment.

Service unit volunteers mentor adult volunteers and support Girl Scouts in creating memorable experiences. They play a vital role in the council's structure and communication.

Troop leaders guide a group of girls through Girl Scouting, helping them explore their interests and develop skills. This role involves planning activities and fostering a supportive environment for girls to grow and learn.

Ready to dive in but not available for a full year? The fall MagNut program allows girls to earn funds early for their troop, so it needs an adult to manage all aspects—from planning activities to entering data in our online system. Troop MagNut managers work primarily from September through December.

Want to work with girls but are not quite ready for a leadership role? These volunteers play a big role in making the troop run smoothly. They're an extra set of eyes, ears, and hands that allows the troop to safely explore the world around them. Need a driver for adventures big and small? Someone to chaperone a trip? troop committee volunteers can do it all!

Skilled in money management? Girls work hard for their MagNut and cookie program proceeds and troop treasurers make sure the troop's finances are in line and used appropriately. They help the troop stay in compliance with council's policies and procedures for handling money, and they make sure finances are documented and reported.

Volunteers are needed to assist with various activities and services associated with the mentoring program for young women aged 13-25. Responsibilities include providing guidance, support, and mentorship to help them achieve their personal and educational goals.
