We actively utilize volunteers to supplement our career staffing at the county fire stations. The department has 31 stations with 11 of them being city stations and the remaining being county stations. We have a high call volume with a mix of fires, wrecks, alarms and medicals and cover an area from rural to suburban to commercial to industrial. We provide all training to prospective volunteers at no cost to them along with any continued training the volunteer may want to do.
