Volunteers can participate in various onstage and offstage roles such as acting, singing, prompting, and running lines. Opportunities also include make-up, costumes, props, stage decoration, directing, set design, construction, lighting, sound, box office, ushering, script reading, publicity, fundraising, and joining the restoration committee.

The Bradford Fire Department is looking for self-motivated individuals who are interested in Emergency Services and helping their community. We have a need for Firefighters. The position requires attending 1 meeting and 2 department training's a month. In addition, responding to emergency calls whenever they happen. On average we respond to 4 emergency calls a week (numbers vary more or less of course). Bradford Fire Department covers approximately 30 square miles, including a portion of Interstate 91. Veterinary Technician Volunteers gain valuable experience and credits while helping animals in need. Veterinarian services are also needed, and all expenses incurred while providing service to Willoughby are tax deductible.

Skilled trades volunteers assist with odd jobs requiring expertise in areas such as carpentry, welding, machining, and small engine mechanics. Volunteers with specialty skills are encouraged to apply.

Help organize and support community events at the Root Schoolhouse, including concerts and sing-alongs. Responsibilities include setting up, coordinating with performers, and ensuring smooth event operations.

Assist with various maintenance tasks such as mowing the lawn, raking, seeding, mulching, and removing old mouse nests. Volunteers also help with painting, washing woodwork, and organizing events to support the schoolhouse restoration.

The Norwich Fire Department is a paid on call (POC) department consisting of a part-time fire chief and approximately 29 POC members. The fire division has approximately 24 members, some of whom are EMTs that work in the EMS Division. The Department provides fire, emergency medical service, hazardous materials response (operations level) and rescue services. Emergency medical services are provided by the First Aid Stabilization Team (FAST) Squad and the Hanover Fire Department ambulance. The Fast Squad has 20 members (7 perform EMS duties only) trained at or above the EMT-Basic level. | Requirements: NFD members are part-time employees of the Town of Norwich.
