Assisteens® Auxiliary invites young women and men in grades 7 to 12 to participate in community service projects. Members learn leadership skills while making a positive impact in their local communities.

Volunteers are needed on the 3rd Sunday of each month from 9:45 AM to 3:45 PM. Responsibilities include setting up and taking down for events, and assisting with occasional private events and Mondays. Volunteers should be welcoming, friendly, and helpful, and must be 18 years or older or accompanied by a parent.

Assist with kennel cleaning, sweeping, mopping, laundry, and supply organization to ensure a clean and organized environment for the dogs.

Transport dogs to-and-from vet appointments, rescue groups, or foster homes and permanent homes when a foster parent is unavailable.

Assist with general upkeep of the outside areas at the QBSDR Ranch, including weeding, pruning, picking up poop, removing dangerous debris, building/mending fences, sanitizing K9 grass areas, and trash removal.

Help with bathing, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing. Training by Susan or a qualified QBSDR Veteran Volunteer is required.

Capture great photos of the dogs for marketing materials, dog bios, and social media posts. Ideal for pet photographers willing to donate time.

Help set up and break down at events such as fundraisers and future adoption events. Assist with transportation of items for these events.

Walk individual dogs or small groups around the QBSDR Ranch neighborhood. Training by Susan or a qualified QBSDR Veteran Volunteer is required.

The Docent Volunteer program is designed for those who love animals and enjoy working with children. Volunteers in this program will receive training to educate visitors about the zoo's animals and conservation efforts.

Core Volunteers assist guests on grounds, support animal care behind the scenes, help staff in the office, and engage with the community. This role is ideal for individuals who have a love for the natural world and enjoy interacting with visitors of all ages.

Keeper/Animal Care Volunteers assist in the care and feeding of the animals at the zoo. This role requires a commitment to animal welfare and a willingness to learn about animal care practices.

Children of the Night is seeking professional volunteers including dentists, therapists, lawyers, and tutors to assist children and young people nationwide. Volunteers must be licensed and hold current malpractice insurance to provide their services.

Engage with local communities to promote environmental conservation and reforestation initiatives. Volunteers will help organize events, educate the public, and collaborate with other organizations to amplify impact.

Participate in tree-planting events to help reforest urban areas and improve environmental stability. Volunteers will assist in planting trees and maintaining them for up to 5 years to ensure their growth and health.

Volunteers are needed to create and host celebrations or events to raise awareness and funds for Pacific Clinics. Responsibilities include organizing events such as movie nights, golf tournaments, or walk-a-thons, and providing hands-on assistance at special events, workshops, or camps.

Join one of our retail auxiliaries in a fun environment with flexible hours. Volunteers will assist in operations at thrift shops located in Los Gatos and San Jose, helping to raise funds for Pacific Clinics' services.

Assist at screenings by staffing the membership table, handling will call, decorating, and taking photographs. Volunteers have the opportunity to see the show they work for free.
