Docents are responsible for leading tours and providing educational information about the museum's exhibits and Pioneer Village. This position requires a passion for history and the ability to engage with diverse audiences.

Help increase the usage of the Waste Wizard tool by developing creative, low-cost marketing strategies. Assist in spreading awareness and distributing promotional materials.

Assist in planning the biggest event of the year by working on venue logistics, recruiting new vendors, obtaining donations for the silent auction, and advertising the event. Bilingual volunteers in English/Spanish are especially helpful.

Brainstorm and implement ideas for community involvement through partnerships with local organizations. Plan educational workshops and community events to promote sustainability.

Join the Bike CoOp committee to promote biking for environmental and health benefits. Help organize bike repair workshops, bike safety education, and establish bike corrals at local events.

Participate in harvesting fresh produce from local farms and gardens throughout the Wenatchee Valley. Gleaning typically occurs from May to October for 2-hour shifts on weekdays, primarily in the mornings.

Help with grocery rescue by collecting food donations from local grocery stores. This role requires a personal vehicle and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Shifts are typically from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Monday to Saturday.

Join us in the Community Cupboard to help with weekly shifts that involve checking families in and out, restocking food, and cleaning. Shifts are scheduled for 2 to 3 hours at a time, Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Assist in Das Thrift with tasks such as sorting donations, pricing items, and maintaining the store's organization. Weekly shifts are available seven days a week, lasting 3 hours each.

Help with various administrative tasks in the office, including stuffing envelopes for outreach and fundraising efforts. These projects occur 3 to 5 times per year on weekdays and last about 3 hours.

Chelan County Fire District # 3 is currently accepting volunteer applications for our Recruit Academy scheduled for September 2022. Chelan County Fire Protection District #3 was established to provide fire protection services to the rural community surrounding the City of Leavenworth. In 2012 the fire district, by a vote of the community, annexed Leavenworth deleting those fire protection borders. Today Fire District #3 is a combination fire department responsible for protecting almost 30 square miles and over a billion dollars in assets.
