Position Summary: The Volunteer Firefighter performs entry-level firefighting, rescue, and emergency medical duties to protect life and property. This role operates under the supervision of fire officers and works alongside career and volunteer personnel as part of a combination fire department. Volunteers may also support public education, fire prevention, and community outreach activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Respond to emergency calls, including structure fires, wildland fires, vehicle accidents, hazardous materials incidents, and medical emergencies. Assist with fire suppression using hoses, ladders, tools, and equipment. Perform search and rescue operations in a variety of emergency conditions. Provide basic first aid and CPR until advanced medical help arrives. Participate in monthly training drills and maintain required certifications.
