WE ARE ACTIVELY RECRUITING!! Are you looking to start your career in Fire and or EMS? Are you at least 14 years old and a middle school graduate? If you answered YES to the above questions this is the program for YOU! The Chester Fire Explorers is a program designed to help prepare teenagers and young Adults from 14-21 years old for a career in Fire and or EMS. We have numerous former explorers currently working in public safety and other fields as Full Time Firefighters/ EMTs, Per Diem Firefighters/EMTS, On-Call Firefighters/ EMTS, Private EMS, Nursing, Dispatch, Law Enforcement, US Military, & more! * Must be a middle school graduate at the time of application. * The Chester Fire Explorers is not affiliated with the Chester Fire Department, we do However train with the Chester Fire Department and use their facilities and equipment to train. * Once explorers turn 18 they are eligible to apply for the fire department as long as they live in Chester or within 1 mile of the Chester town line. * We meet Twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
