Volunteers assist with the day-to-day operation of the museum, including welcoming visitors, sanitizing toys, and keeping exhibits tidy. This is a family-friendly opportunity where volunteers can bring their children to play during their shift.

Provide medical care at the Free Clinic. Volunteer Physicians, PAs, and ARNPs are needed to support the health of our community members.

Assist during food pantry and clothes closet shifts by acting as a receptionist, client shopping assistant, clothes closet monitor, or client intake worker. Volunteers are also needed for sorting and stocking items outside of service hours.

Volunteers will take dogs in the adoption building for bathroom breaks and playtime, clean out dog runs, and ensure bowls are filled with clean water. Advanced training allows for walking dogs outside the courtyard and working on socialization and obedience.

Volunteers are encouraged to share potential business sponsorships and grant opportunities with shelter staff to support the organization's donation-dependent operations.

Help plan, fund, and organize fundraisers, educate the public about Furry Friends’ mission, and assist in taking adoptable animals to off-site events.

Volunteers will help maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the facilities by doing laundry, washing items, and assisting with smaller-scale maintenance projects.

Volunteers will ensure that cats and small critters have enough food and clean water, clean out cages and litter boxes, and engage with the animals through petting, playing, and brushing.

Provide light maintenance work around the house and grounds, including putting up and taking down Christmas decorations and assisting with building projects.

Assist with maintaining records, developing and cataloging materials electronically, and helping with acquisitions and restorations.

Maintain membership records, promote membership, and develop a membership directory. Coordinate volunteer activities related to membership.

Help plan and coordinate the Annual Christmas Open House, contributing to a festive and welcoming atmosphere for visitors.

Plan and coordinate refreshments for monthly program meetings and events such as Open Houses and Punch on the Porch.

Develop and disseminate publicity items to local venues to promote the Society and its events, increasing public awareness and participation.

Assist in identifying and planning topics and speakers for monthly program meetings. Help organize trips and tours for members and the community to places of interest.

Assist in planning and coordinating the Annual Ice Cream Social, ensuring a successful and enjoyable event for all attendees.

Coordinate and develop ideas for special events and projects, ensuring successful execution and community engagement.
