Taking Flight is a group of young adult leaders (aged 18 to 26) who use their personal experience with behavioral health challenges and trauma to advocate for positive system changes and support the development of a young adult peer network in Maryland. Taking Flight empowers young adults as they prepare for independent lives, promotes acceptance and education, and works to reduce stigma in areas including mental health, substance use, LGBTQIA+, foster care, and youth justice systems.
