We actively utilize volunteers to supplement our career staffing at the county fire stations. The department has 31 stations with 11 of them being city stations and the remaining being county stations. We have a high call volume with a mix of fires, wrecks, alarms and medicals and cover an area from rural to suburban to commercial to industrial. We provide all training to prospective volunteers at no cost to them along with any continued training the volunteer may want to do. Coordinate and volunteer for holiday initiatives to bring festive cheer and community spirit to Earlewood.

Host community Porch Parties to foster neighborhood engagement and community spirit.

Help recruit new members, develop member incentives, and maintain the current membership list for ECCO.

Find and prepare grant applications and manage received grants to support ECCO's initiatives.

Coordinate and volunteer for EarleJam 2025, a community event celebrating local music and culture.

Develop and implement fundraising plans to support ECCO's community projects.

Assist in planning and executing The Big Flea event in 2025. Volunteers will help with event logistics, setup, and support during the event.

Participate in advising the SC Respite Coalition on respite needs and activities in specific areas of South Carolina. Members help guide the development of respite services and policies.

Provide guidance on state respite policy and activities. Members include representatives from public and nonprofit organizations and individuals interested in respite services.

Assist with various activities such as fundraising, communications, social media, public relations, or accounting. Volunteers contribute to advancing respite services in South Carolina.

Engage with teens in outreach programs to provide mentorship and support. Volunteers will assist in program activities that promote leadership, community service, and personal development.

Volunteers support women in their community by helping them choose professional attire for interviews and providing guidance and support for upcoming interviews. Volunteers also assist in the Career Center, helping women build confidence, network, and discuss workplace-related topics.

Provide health care services to campers as needed throughout the camp week. This role requires a flexible schedule.

Provide guidance to camper bands, helping them set up instruments, write songs, and perform. No music experience necessary for some roles, but enthusiasm and dedication are required.

Assist in organizing and facilitating activities for youth during Super Saturday Camps, focusing on education, social skills, and self-love. Volunteers will help create a supportive and empowering environment for participants.
